The Power of God

You give what you’ve got! Peter and John did not have what a lame, beggar sought – CASH! They were broke. Remember the adage- “Money talks!” So, Peter and John couldn’t say anything – NOT! Yes, money does talk but the power of God makes the lame walk, the blind see, the foolish wise, and the outcast accepted.

You give what you’ve got. Everyday you give to others something. You don’t give them what’s in your pocket, you share with them what’s in your soul. Either positive or negative, truth or falsehood, light or darkness, edification or destruction.

Peter and John didn’t have the power of cash but they had the power of God! Some may ask, ‘Can the power of God pay your light bill?’ My response is YES, cash can pay the light bill BUT you can still walk around in darkness!! How many nice homes in our country are filled with darkness, brokenness!!! Could it be that we have gotten so caught up in WHAT can “pay the light bill” that we have neglected WHO is the light?

Peter and John were financially broke but spiritually rich! They offered the lame beggar something more powerful than cash – they offered him the power of Christ.

You will offer people that which you value the most because it is that which consumes you, commands you, and commissions you. Others will soon learn what they can receive from you. If you want to share with others the power of God, then walk in His power! How? By being totally dependent upon Him. Love Him with all your heart, soul, and might. Be consumed with knowing Him and others will be aware of His presence in you.

“But Peter said, “I do not possess silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you: In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene-walk!”” Acts‬ ‭3:6
