His Hands and Feet

What did God create you to do? As a follower of Jesus Christ, what is your mission? The medical doctor and historian, Luke, wrote Acts as a continuation of the Work and Words of Jesus through His church. Today, you continue the Work that Jesus started! What is that Work? While your role is dramatically different, you are still involved in the process of reconciling people to God. Jesus did the work that made reconciliation possible, you are to share in that work by making it known!
You also share in the Word. Jesus was the living Word and we are His spokesmen. When you speak the truth in love to others, you are continuing to spread the Word of God.
What was the secret of Christ’s power? He lived totally dependent upon His Father. Jesus stated that all of His works were empowered by the Father and all His words were given to Him by his Father. Jesus lived a life of utter dependence on the Father. The only way we can continue the works and words of Jesus is to live in total, complete dependence upon the Father.
How does that work? Like this: When you are about to accept responsibility, ask Christ if that is what He wants for you to do. When you are about to speak to a person, ask Him to guide your speech. Submit to His directives. If He moves you to remain silent, then submit. If He prompts you to speak, then speak. In that way, you are demonstrating your dependence upon Him. You will continue the work of Christ while sharing the word of Christ.

“The first account I composed, Theophilus, about all that Jesus began to do and teach,” Acts‬ ‭1:1‬ ‭NASB‬‬
