Changing direction

Timeless truths about great fish. God prepared a great fish to facilitate Jonah’s journey. Jonah didn’t know where the fish was headed. But isn’t it awesome that we serve a God who loves us enough to bring us back to the place we need to be? Jonah repented in the great fish as he prayed. But it didn’t take him long to revert back to his old ways. That is so human. God’s work in us today is through the internal presence of the Holy Spirit. Yet we must work with Him. He will not force us to change. And without His presence and power we are incapable of changing. Genuine change takes place when we join the Holy Spirit and allow God to transform us. Even so, we must be diligent to guard that which He has done.
