Pray

Timeless truths about prayer. We totally underestimate the power of prayer. “The prayer of a righteous person accomplishes much.” When you walk with Christ, your prayers make a difference. James gives the example of Elijah. He was “a man with a nature like ours” and yet his prayer impacted an entire nation.

God will use your prayer in incredible ways. But you must pray! Pray with a surrendered heart to the will of God. Pray with a clean heart. Be sure to confess your sins to the Lord. Pray for the glory of God. May the goal of our prayers be to honor and exalt Jesus. Pray for other believers. We are to pray for one another. Ephesians and other NT books provides great examples of what to pray for other believers.

Don’t just read and talk about prayer – pray. Seek the Lord diligently.

“Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months. Then he prayed again, and the sky poured rain and the earth produced its fruit.” James‬ ‭5:17-18‬ ‭NASB‬‬
