Timeless truths about money. Few things are as revealing about us as our use of money. It reveals our priorities, principles, and perspective. God holds us accountable in our use of money.
The first real test centers on the issue of ownership. Who owns your money? Your car? Home? Your answer determines how you will use it. Even though God owns everything we possess and He can take it away at any moment, we can live as though we own it!
The second test is the purpose of money. You see, money is a tool to be used to bless other people. We are to invest our money in the things God wants His money invested in.
Use your money to bring honor to God.
“Behold, the pay of the laborers who mowed your fields, and which has been withheld by you, cries out against you; and the outcry of those who did the harvesting has reached the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth. You have lived luxuriously on the earth and led a life of wanton pleasure; you have fattened your hearts in a day of slaughter. You have condemned and put to death the righteous man; he does not resist you.” James 5:4-6
