Timeless principles for life, 1

Timeless truths about principles. Someone said, “Methods are many, principles are few. Methods always change, principles never do.” In our fast paced, changing times, we need to embrace some timeless principles for life. I want to share one with you today.

Everything in life flows from a right relationship with God. If my relationship with the Creator and Lord of my life is not right, everything is adversely affected. Let’s look at three key areas: my head, heart, and hands.

When I am walking intimately with Christ, my head, the way I think, will become healthy. Keep in mind that growth in Christ is a process – one never “arrives” in this lifetime. But, when I am walking intimately with Jesus, my mind is being renewed! How does that happen? As I pour God’s truth into my mind by reading His word, listening to His Spirit, and applying His truth, strongholds in my mind begin to erode and solid, Biblical, eternal truths are established.

My heart, the measure of what I truly treasure, changes as I walk closely to Christ. I begin to love what He loves and hate what He hates. Those things that are treasured in our hearts determine the priorities of our lives. Treasure the right things and your values will be rightside up instead of upside down.

An intimate, vital relationship with God changes the way my hands work. All that I undertake to do is for Him and His glory. Regardless of who you work for, you do your work for the Lord. You do the best job you can possibly do because you are doing that job for the Lord Jesus Christ.

I’ll share some additional principles in future blogs.
