Timeless truths from parents.
They tried to tell me. Looking back on my childhood there are several things I realize. First, my parents were not perfect. Even though they clearly sinned, I thought my dad could do no wrong and my mom was a saint. Second, they tried to tell me some very important facts of life that I brushed off. I respected them and felt they were both loving, but I simply thought they didn’t really know what they were talking about.
As I aged (let’s not talk about how much) through the years, their wisdom became much clearer. There were times when they didn’t guide me in the ways of God because they didn’t know Him at the time. But, one of the greatest qualities in life is the ability to listen to others who speak from a heart of love and experience.
