Timeless truths from Philippians 4:14.
How do you share in someone else’s suffering? You invest in them! When the church at Philippi sent an offering to Paul, he commended them and spoke of their participation in his affliction. When you invest your money into something, your heart will travel with it through the ups and downs.
Jesus said that your heart follows your money. He said, “Where your treasure is, there is your heart also.” Your heart follows your treasure! How can people so easily and quickly walk away from church? They have not invested in the Bride of Christ. It is easy to walk away from something that you have little or no investment in.
Where is your treasure? Where does your “checkbook” tell you the location of your heart? How much of your heart is invested in the Kingdom of God?
“Nevertheless, you have done well to share with me in my affliction.” Philippians 4:14 NASB
